I'm sure by now that everyone has heard, or read, about Warren Buffet urging congress to raise taxes on the super rich. By super rich he means those who make more than One million dollars a year. I agree with him. Those who make more should be taxed more. It's that simple and part of taking advantage of the economic system and opportunities in the United States. There should be a geometrical progression of tax increases according to income. Ok...I've got that said.
I'm also going to say that good kings, dictators, and emperors of old understood that you can live a life of riches and style as long as you leave enough for the common people. Well...our modern day kings, dictators, and congressmen have forgotten that, don't even think about it, or think they can ramrod it through (which they have). The fact of the matter is I don't mind any body being super rich--as long as I have enough to live well. We're back to inequality. We can't all be equal. I'm pragmatic enough to know this. But there's no man or woman alive worth being paid 10, 20, 30, or more million a year--while others scrape by on $10,000 or less.
